The shop we’re building requires a roof. The roof requires steel trusses. The trusses need to be welded together. And for that the welder needs power.
To provide the welder with power, Dad and I have been running cables through conduit, connecting outlets to one end and breakers in the breaker box to the other. Yesterday, we ran a short cable from a 50 amp breaker to a 220v outlet that we will be plugging the welder into. The plug looks like this one below:


Now that the welder is powered, we’re arranging the large heavy tables which the trusses will be welded together on. Since each truss needs to be very close to the same dimensions, we’re setting up a sort of fixture with tables to be able to make repeated welds at the same angles.
That’s what we’re going to do today. Use a bobcat (skid steer) to pick up and arrange the 2 large tables near the new outlet.
