The Smith at Tyroll Forge tests all hooks for strength by hanging from them using a special fixture tree. While his weight far exceeds any load to be reasonably expected, this just seemed to be the correct equivalent of the old adage about the chief being the first to taste the stew. THESE HOOKS ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR OVERHEAD LIFTING OR SUSPENSION OF PERSONS.
