Do you accept custom ironwork requests?
Yes! In fact, we welcome customer collaboration.
Often, the best ideas for new designs come from needs expressed by our customers.
Generik began to practice drawing as a boy. He’s got a gift for putting design on the drafting board and on to the production floor. Send us your kitchen table sketches and regale Jen with the details of your idea. We’ll work with you to manifest it.
What’s your lead time?
We have a number of swift selling hooks in inventory that we can ship within 1 to 3 days, especially in matte black. Custom orders/and larger quantity requests take a bit longer, but let us know your needs. We’ll do our level best to stay on top of inventory and keep the surface coating department running just in time. We were a Star Seller on Etsy for nearly a decade. We deliver.
Can I apply to be a part of the company ?
You are welcome. We are the company we keep. We hold our customers near and dear. In our neck of the woods, one Gary Comer of Lands’End fame started and stewarded a customer service standard he called “‘Guaranteed. Period.” Beyond providing great clothes for active families and kids, his customer service philosophy was radical and empowering… clearly articulated on the wall of the cafeteria: “I will never be critical of any action you take on behalf of a customer”. Tyroll Forge shares that ethic. We grow by meeting our customers’ needs. Count on it. In the early 80s, Jen studied Industrial Engineering as the great statistician and teacher Ed Deming inspired American students, plant managers and shopfloor people with the lessons he learned helping Japan’s industrial base recover after WWII. They emerged as a powerhouse auto maker. No empty slogans. Clearly defined product attributes and a keen ear to the needs of the customer drive our family’s blacksmithery. One day Tyroll Forge and Tool will be a destination for those who seek to know the Anvil, the Hammer, the Tongs, and the Smith who wields them in Fire and Force. We pray Bohn Road will be a model campus where people go to fix what’s broken and forge what’s next.
Follow the truth trail to the Means of Production.
After all, if a tool fails to meet (or better yet exceed) expectations, we need to know what went wrong in design, communication, prototyping, and manufacture. A principled tool designer/manufacturer’s success hinges on user experience and feedback.
Which color is which?
We do our best to convey colors with photos. Please get on the phone with Jen to be sure. Truly, there’s no camera like the human eye and color is subjective. We’re happy to work with you to make sure you are delighted with our surface treatment that so showcases the smooth curves of Generik’s technique.
