Retrospective

County JG (Jen and Generik:) is the long and winding road that leads to our base of operations on Bohn Road. The road descends through the woods off Wisconsin’s Old Military Ridge Trail where the big highway stretches west to Dubuque and over the Mississippi or East to our Capital City Madison and beyond to Milwaukee and Lake Michigan. Geologists say the Ice Age Glaciers of 10,000 years ago missed the hills of western Dane and Iowa Counties, leaving a marvelous terrain known as the “Driftless Region”. For generations dairy farms and cheese makers thrived in our Township. Some are still hanging on and the rural character is preserved by zoning no more than one residence per 40 acres.

We’re just west of the City of Mount Horeb – named for the mountain Moses climbed for guidance, asking….Whom shall I say is calling?

Here’s a video we made a while back that may give you a sense of where we’ve been. They grow up fast.
